FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you have a question or query, you might find the answer here, if not, please feel free to send a message.
Can I get reimbursed by my health insurance for your yoga classes?
Possibly! I’m Qualitop certified, so maybe your supplementary health insurance will give you some money back for joining my yoga classes or retreats. Not all health insurances cover yoga, so I always recommend EGK supplementary insurance because they reimburse 80% up to CHF 480 each year for yoga. If you’re interested in this please contact Veronica Rodriguez. If you use the referral code JESSICARABONEYOGA then you’ll also get a small gift when signing up.

I’m a beginner, is that okay?
Absolutely! Please let me know that you’re new before class starts so you’re well looked after.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable that doesn’t restrict movement. We practice yoga with bare feet so you don’t need fancy footwear. It’s a nice idea to bring something warm and cosy to wear during Savasana if it’s a little chilly outside.
Can you recommend a good yoga mat please?
I practice on the 5mm Lightweight Eco Mat from beyondyoga.ch and I love it! I’ve tried many (many, many, many) mats and this is the best one I’ve found. It’s extremely grippy (both to the floor and your hands), cushioned and lightweight, which isn’t usually the case with good quality mats. Plus, it’s eco friendly, which is always a bonus and 100% recyclable, not that you’d want to get rid of it. I’ve not been bribed in any way, shape or form, so my opinion is genuine. You can also save 5% off your order at beyondyoga.ch by using the code “Jess Rabone” at the checkout.
Can I eat before class?
You know your body best, but it’s recommended that you don’t eat for approx 1.5 hours before class. This is because we’ll be doing lots of twists and folds and it can feel a bit uncomfortable with a full stomach. If you need to eat then opt for something light like soup or fruit.
Do I need to book?
Spaces are limited, so yes, please book in advance to confirm your mat. Bookings are made through the Momoyoga website or app.
I have an injury/medical condition, can I still do yoga?
Please discuss this with me directly. Yoga can be very beneficial for many injuries but it’s always best to seek advice first. This also applies if you’re pregnant.
Can I practice with you online?
Soon! I’ll be setting up my online studio in the coming months so please stay tuned. You can sign up to my newsletter (below) to be kept up-to-date.
I’m interested in collaborating with you!
Amazing - send me some more details and let’s chat.
Can I book you for a private event?
Most definitely. Call or email me and we can talk about this. I can organise anything from a single class through to retreats.
Do you offer private yoga classes?
I do indeed. Please get in touch to discuss things in more detail. I’d be happy to help out.
Can you teach yoga at my work/office?
I’d love to! Perhaps you can put me in touch with your HR department so we can arrange this for you.
Do you only teach in Switzerland?
Switzerland is “‘home” but my events and retreats are sometimes further afield. My 200 hour yoga teacher training is in the beautiful Alps. I’m always happy to travel for the right opportunities and collaborations. My weekly classes take place at Herstreet in Eaux Vives, Geneva.
Where do I find info on your yoga retreat rewards programme?
You can find all the info for the yoga retreat rewards programme here.
How do I apply for your 200 hour yoga teacher training?
Here’s a link to the application form. It will be wonderful to have you there! Please make sure you’ve read all the details and course curriculum thoroughly before applying and feel free to ask me any questions about the training if you can’t find the answers on my FAQs page. I’m happy to help. You can also read reviews of the YTT from my past graduates.
Do you offer any continuing education credits for yoga teachers?
Yes, sometimes I offer shorter courses and trainings. These will be listed on the events and retreats section of my website when they’re announced.
